Our Wedding Day

Yay! We're married! We got married on January 2nd and went on our Honeymoon to Las Vegas. The wedding was very nice. Although it was snowing pretty hard that night and the Sugar Bowl was on (double strike) We are thankful to our friends and family for missing the beloved Utes game for us! I'll post some pictures here of the big day. Las Vegas was really fun, although I was anticipating a break from the cold and Vegas was freezing! Other than that, we've just been getting settled in our new home, getting back to work and enjoying our new Wii! I know that my sisters are both going to complain about this picture because they're both pregnant, but they look gorgeous! This is one of my favorite pictures. Lots of Good Stuff....

I'm just not good at blogging, I've decided. I'd much rather be cleaning the house. Really. It's the truth. So here are the latest news and happenings in my life: Me and Eduardo are engaged!!! We are getting married on January 2nd, so we've been planning lots. Here's one of our recent engagement pictures. We also went last weekend to the Real Salt Lake Playoff game. It was so much fun and the crowd was electric! It was especially fun because they won! This week I won a contest called "Monday Knights" from Sportsbeat Sunday. I didn't even remember entering the contest, so when they emailed me that I'd won, I just ignored it. Then, I got a call on Sunday telling me I'd won the party for the next night. It was a party for 12 in the Theater Room at Noah's. (Noah's is like this party/reception hall in Lindon) I decided that it sounded like a nice break from wedding planning and everything else, so last minute, my parents, Eduardo and I and my sisters and their husbands went. Well, it was quite the adventure. I'm sure that Paul's account of the outing will be more exciting, so if you want, you can switch over to his blog. First of all, FYI Noah's is not recognized by MapQuest. So- if you are planning on going there, don't follow the little blue dot on your iPhone while your whole entire family follows behind. It will lead you to a place very, very far away from Noah's. Secondly, if you win the "Monday Knights" contest- and they tell you that it includes a catered meal for 12, what that means is that it includes some cold chicken from Chick-Fil-A and store-bought brownies. Now, it was free, so I'm not complaining. They also had 12 T-shirts laid out on the pool table for us in an "array" of sizes (one Large and 11 2X Large) We did stay for one hour and watch "Dancing with the Stars" (my dad's choice) and play some pool. All-in-all it was a complete waste of time, but we all laughed so much (at my expense, mostly) that it ended up being the perfect break! Good times.

I'm a Utah Jazz Widow...

Well, not technically, right? Because Eduardo doesn't play for the Jazz. And we're not married. But for all intensive purposes, the Jazz season has begun, and I will now be seeing a lot less of my wonderful boyfriend. Last week, he was with them in Boise at training camp and this week, with preseason games starting, he is busy. Not to mention that he is filming Real Salt Lake's first game in their new stadium on Thursday of this week. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE THE JAZZ!!!!!! I'm just starting to feel a little lonely....already. Maybe I'll see if I can hang with crazy Masha.

Abish's Halloween

Abish hates Halloween. Maybe if she could eat candy she would like it. You'll notice that she doesn't look happy at all in any of the costumes, nonetheless, every year, I dress her up. For all of you out there right now thinking that I am pathetic, just remember, I really do WANT children, but since I don't have any, I have to settle for this dog. And she has to put up with the costumes. This was last Halloween: I sewed Abish an Underdog costume. I did a pretty shotty job, but all of the neighborhood kids knew exactly who she was and they loved it! Here she is with her "cousin" dogs (and my sisters) Skiba as a hotdog and Georgie as Snow White. Nobody was more miserable than Skiba. The Halloween before that, I had A LOT of time on my hands, since I was on dialysis and home all the time. I sewed me and Abish matching Native American costumes. She even had a baby dog on her back and braids with a headband and feathers. Please, don't feel sorry for me. I really am happy and sane. She also did a stint as a princess. This turned out to be her least favorite!

Lola

Last week, September 5, 2008, would have been Lola's 3 year Birthday. It was a hard day, but Eduardo went with me to the cemetery to take her flowers and that support really helped. Not a day goes by that I don't think of what she would look like now, and what she would be doing. I am SO thankful to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and to know that someday, I'll hold my little baby in my arms again.

Bear Lake

We spent last weekend camping at Bear Lake. My parents took up their RV and our friends, the Watts, brought their boat. Eduardo learned to Wakeboard and he loved it! I think that he was really good since he is such a snowboarding freak! The lake was so warm and beautiful! We had a lot of fun on the boat and swimming. I didn't get any good pictures of Eduardo Wakeboarding, so here is a picture of him biffing it instead: And my mom enjoying the ride!

Abish and her Beloved Ball

Abish loves her tennis balls. Maybe love is not the right word. She is obsessed! You can't even say the word "ball" without her tail going crazy. You also can't say "pelota" ("ball" in Spanish) or spell it out (B-A-L-L) Nope. She's caught on. And when certain people come over (my mom, Eduardo) she goes straight to the ball. Like they have come over ONLY to play ball. I guess that I wouldn't mind so much if she didn't drop the ball in my lap at all hours of the day and night and if her favorite game weren't "put the ball under furniture and then dig at it until I realize that I can't actually reach it and I start to whine" Then I have to get down and get the ball out while she scratches at my arm like crazy. And then she proceeds to put it right underneath the same piece of furniture again. So, here are some pictures of Abish with her ball playing at Murray Park that Eduardo took.
